With each passing day, report after report states that we are becoming a race of less educated, ill-mannered, sloppy people. Etiquette and integrity no longer exist. Many students are graduating from schools even though they lack much in their education. Companies are hiring candidates that lack proper business training – many today cannot even take a basic telephone message! Executives have outdated skills and are not keeping abreast of the latest information. This prevents them and their companies from staying on top of what’s needed to succeed in today’s global marketplace. All of these “ills” hurt our worldwide markets, our local economies and each and every individual in one way or another.
The importance of proper etiquette (both business and personal) cannot be stressed enough. When coupled with integrity and personal responsibility, one can create a winning image and reputation in today’s worldwide marketplace and have a well-rounded approach to life.
